Nursery
Parents with children 6 weeks to 2 years can take comfort in
knowing that their infants and toddlers are receiving exceptional, loving care
in our nursery while they enjoy worship.
Our nursery is located in the Ministry Center and is equipped with all the necessities for little ones from toys to rocking chairs and swings. And, with 2 teachers always present, our babies and toddlers enjoy the close attention they need.
Preschool
Our preschool is for children 3 years of age to entering Kindergarten and is located in the Ministry Center. Upon entering the preschool classroom your child is invited to participate in learning a Bible story and participate in a variety of hands on activities that help to reinforce the Big Idea from the lesson.
The kids are offered a snack and water (the class is a nut-free
space, and volunteers know to check for any allergies before serving a snack).
The classes may visit the playground, weather permitting. Please send a jacket
or sweater with your child during cooler weather.
Elementary
Elementary children meet in the Foundry for small groups to participate in fun and engaging activities, then meet together for large group to learn and interact with the Bible story.
We are currently using GO! curriculum in EP KIDS. We love GO! The
scope begins in August and takes children on a chronological journey through
the entire Bible. The lesson is an interactive experience that allows kids to
become a part of the storytelling in imaginative ways. More than that, GO!
allows kids to learn not only a Bible Story but it helps kids think through how
to apply their faith in everyday situations.
Safety/Security
Children's safety is of the utmost concern to
us. We have taken great lengths to put the best safety practices in place and
we regularly evaluate our policies to make sure that we are providing the
safest environment possible for children.
All volunteers complete a volunteer application
process which includes an application, nationwide background check, reference
calls, and an informal interview. Our volunteer handbook explains best
practices and operating standards for anyone working with our children.
Our child security system requires that every
child wear a name tag with a security number and allergy alerts if
necessary. Children are only released to adults with a security claim
ticket matching the child's security number.
If you are a guest, the greeters would be happy
to get you checked in for the first time and connect you with a kids ministry
volunteer.
Health
We operate a well-child program. For the protection of all the children we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or fewer), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness.
Special Needs
We welcome all children in EP KIDS. If your child has allergies, or needs modifications or accommodations in order for them to access EP KIDS please contact Courtney.
